Description:

Maintaining a sensible sustainability strategy and carrying out transparent reporting requires firms to assess both the economic consequences of environmental changes as well as the effects of environmental protection measures like co2 pricing, environmental taxes, and sustainability related development aid measures.

In this seminar students apply their skills from the course “Econometrics” to read and discuss economic papers evaluating the economic consequences of environmental shocks and the effects of policies and measures.
The papers to be discussed use microeconometric methods, tools from data analytics, and field experiments and students are required to assess internal and external validity of the studies.
